This is a joke right?
Ennis is worth the same as Marchand?
Marchand is just as good offensivly and way better in terms of Grit, D, and "other things"
I don't like the guy. I think 4.5 is a bit much. But Marchand is a much better player than Ennis. |

GARTH: Ennis Worth Marchand Money and Term? - garth
is Ennis' contract negotiations your newest crush? it is too bad that Ryan and Doan turned your down.. better luck with Ennis
Ennis should be in the 2.5 range for a 2 to 3 year deal. |

I will give you a bag of pucks, a 6 pack of Labatt's and a suicide knob for the Zamboni for Tyler Ennis. And I'm being generous. |

Marchand is a better all-around player, and huge goals in a Stanley Cup run make a big difference too. |

Sure Ennis is comparable to Marchand's 2nd contract ($2M first year, $3M second year).
Ennis just finished his ELC. |

Ennis does not deserve Marchand type money right now. Marchand played through his ELC and a 2yr deal after that. Ennis should get a 2-3yr deal around $2mil a year $2.5 max. Let him put together 3 years of solid production before giving him a pay day. |

How many damn NHL players' "career trajectory" is Tyler Ennis going to be compared to, Garth?
God almighty, you are as boring as you are predictable and pompous, and your blogs are about as realisitic as SFO's tweets.

We wish, Ian. We wish. But, unfortunately, Garth thinks he's as serious as a heart attack....and he blogs like he's talking to only 12-year old hockey fans on here.
It's embarrassing, annoying and, quite frankly, insulting. |

Forget the stats Id take Ennis any day over Marchand.Marchand was over paid for being a pest with modest skill IMO. |

How about a story on the odds on this season being another lost season or not ? |

Modest skill? I don't agree with that assessment. Marchand is capable of 25-30 goals a year and fits nicely into the top 6 role. On top of his ability to produce points he plays a two-way game and is very good on the PK. His ability to get under opposing players skin adds extra to his game. Although I do not like his punk attitude and some of the tactics he uses on the ice, I think if most teams were given the choice between Marchand and Ennis they would chose Marchy |
